The BAG Foundation

The Black Art Gala Foundation celebrates, preserves, and advances the achievements of African American artists through programs that create visibility and awareness for artists and art.

The Foundation was founded in 2022. It’s flagship event, a 600 person black tie gala, included visual artists, performing artists, and activists who are trailblazers in their communities. The event began as a celebration of the contributions of African American artist to the local community and fundraiser for Green Book of Tampa Bay, a nonprofit whose mission is to increase Black economic vitality in Tampa Bay.

The Black Art Gala Foundation enables African Diasporic artists to tell culturally relevant narratives through art and engage in commercially-focused programs allowing them to sell or exchange art for value.
